"Haven of adventure for the brave and young,
Thrill of childhood, test of manhood." avr
Painting and Poem by Abe V Rotor
Rocky Cliff Patapat Comes Alive in acrylic on canvas (28.5” x 37”) AVR 2017
A face of the mountain, like statue, its cliff
Against the wind, the sun and rain;
Half naked, clothed in green at the midriff,
Leaving to mind its beauty and bane.
It rose out from the sea, thrust into the sky,
By whose power but that of a god,
To link the deep and creatures that crawl and fly,
And cheer up the lonely and sad.
A living Babel, clouds it gathers into rain,
Its shed a singing waterfall,
Rivulets its life and thrill, living veins in train,
Chime the breeze like distant call.
Haven of adventure for the brave and young,
Thrill of childhood, test of manhood;
Mirror not of Narcissus but the future beyond,
