I looked into the dictionary what compassion really means,
having discovered my pet cat brought home a kitten;
It's an equation: sympathy plus empathy equals compassion,
and looked up to heaven to whose hands these were written.
Sociologists and biologists trace all traits to the genes
converging at a common ancestral origin;
like a phylogeny tree to deep down its roots all begins,
the ribbon of life - DNA - travelling with the gene.
A little in each one of us dies when somebody dies, is true,
knowing him or not, far or near or haven't seen;
tragic moments test we're brothers and sisters altogether,
like plants, animals, protists all living serene.
Symbiosis is give-and-take relationship we call win-win,
and mutualism embodies dual care and love,
peace and order, harmony and unity in the whole world,
all creatures guided by an unseen hand above. ~
