Taming Medusa in the Garden

Dr Abe V Rotor

Safari World, Bangkok, Thailand. Photo by the author.

I am Perseus unafraid and tamed,
     sans my mirror shield;
for I will turn into stone no more,
     in this Garden I yield.

Monsters thrive where ugliness resides
     and hides the beautiful;
the victim seeing  the venomous hair;
     and not the green veil full.

Life is a Medusa lurking somewhere,
    for the hero's great heir,
either he slays her, or clothes her
    with flowers in her hair. ~
